Overview:
To perform duties to maintain kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Minimum Required Qualifications
The person in this position needs to:
- Occasionally remain in stationary position while washing or drying dishes.
- Frequently move about the dish pit and kitchen.
- Constantly use fingers and hands to wash, dry and put away dishes, silverware, pots and pans.
- Position oneself to place kitchen items on lower shelves.
- Frequently use cleaning items such as brooms and mops.
- Frequently be able to determine if dishes are clean.
- Frequently move equipment, supplies and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across short distances.
- Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record and be insurable on our company liability insurance as a driver of company vehicles.
Essential Functions
- Create a positive and energetic environment that supports the delivery of an exceptional guest experience while upholding the highest level of TCR and Relais & Châteaux standards.
- Maintain the extraordinary five star TCR image and resort appearance including all service, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
- Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
- Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks in the dishwashing machine.
- Refill chemicals in the dishwashing machine.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Wash worktables, walls and refrigerators.
- Keep the kitchen clean, including hood areas and other areas specified by the Chef.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers.
- Hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer equipment between storage and work areas by hand.
- Wash and peel vegetables using a knife or peeling machine.
- Help with stock production.
- Help with between season kitchen deep cleanings.
- Perform any other job duties as assigned.
